Welcome. noclichésallowed is a collaboration started by seven graphic designers all of whom have a link to the LCC. Here we are collecting items we find of interest and want to share with each other, and of course, you. Here is a little about us all.

Oliver Bothwell

The Editor of noclichesallowed and currently seeking placements in the graphic design industry. Oliver is on a sandwich year at the LCC where he studies Information Design; and is currently doing an internship with Bibliothèque, having worked with the Brand Union and Nick Bell Design earlier this year.

Thomas Brasington

An internationally renowned graphic designer. Thomas invented graphic design.

Amanda Morante

Amanda has recently graduated from a BFA program in Graphic Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She is currently living on Long Island and is always looking for Freelance work.

Michael Oswell

Michael will never be as good as Mark however hard he tries. His concepts are tired, dull, poorly thought through and rendered in the least dextrous way imaginable. He will never amount to anything. He can’t even kern. He will probably spend the rest of his days in admin jobs where they don’t care about typography.

Nicola Ryan

Nicola Ryan is a graphic design student at LCC whose interests include sparkly shoes, blue skies, aimless walks and polka dots.

Dawn Szombathy

Dawn Szombathy grew up drawing every day in the heat of Houston, Texas. She escaped to New York City and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in May 2008 with a BFA in Graphic Design. Her recent residences of New York, London and Bangalore, India have emboldened her to continue perusing a career in art and design. She now aims to travel all over the world seeking further creative inspiration. She is also proud of being easily entertained.
