Suprb relaunch

Suprb has relaunched and Emil Olsson has joined Andreas Pihlstrom. They are a multidisciplinary design studio based in Stockholm and if you are interested in working with them that you should get in contact.

Excellent portfolio from Yale student David Lloyd Yun.

The work in this image is from a project where a tourist map was taken and alternate routes where overprinted. Psychogeography being still in as far as I am aware and we are also about to travel to Lisbon for our second moleskine city project where we will be exploring the city with this kind of behaviour in mind.

The Public Voices posters are also particular fresh. Very clean and striking.

Drink Aware – How much is too much

A new campaign from Drink Aware. I saw this on the tube last night. The design itself isn’t ground breaking but it is still a very effective piece of communication. I know I am guilty of having my recycling bin full to the brim. For a change an advert actually made me stop and think about my personal drinking and health.

An interactive poster by We are build. When you touch the surface of it the interactive ink triggers a series of images and videos which are projected onto it.

It is always refreshing to see print mediums converge with screen design.

Poster for our work in progress – child of Michael, Ian, Ollie, George, Kathryn and myself. Ollie, George and me posed nude for each poster. I would put them up but I will leave it to them to decide if they want to be viewed.

This is my last project and the aim was to cram as many design clichés into this book/poster as possible to express the true complexity and absurdity that is placing happiness into a information system. Not only does it have me holding my work up in the classic pose showing off my other work, we have type that has been rendered illegible, loads of dots various bits of images that don’t really do anything BUT it also is using the genius method of slicing down the middle so it folds up into a nice little book.

I would also like to point out that I shall no only use my isight camera to take my clichéd shots of my work as the quality is just awful AND shows that I use apple computers and thus am a design cliché myself.

All it needs is to be done in over layed cyan, magenta and yellow screen printed to be a really good cliché.
